In 2014 I got the opportunity to redesign the global navigation for Apple.com. The reason for the redesign was twofold. First, we had just announced iOS 7 a few months prior and thus started a movement away from Skeuomorphism. Second, we were finally designing mobile versions of our pages, and so we needed a nav that would be responsive. It was a long process with many different versions and wouldn’t go live for another 8 months after the design was completed.

This was a unique project that had to be designed to take our older layouts into consideration. Many of the pages on Apple.com at that time were not full width designs. These pages were also not responsive and so a solution that worked independently from the rest of the page was needed.
